Frame Size (Wrist) Calculator

Use my wrist circumference to determine my frame size.

Since bone structure varies in size from person to person, researchers have added frame size as a factor in helping to determine someone's ideal weight. Knowing your frame size can help you set reasonable weight goals. Enter your height and wrist circumference and this calculator will use standard insurance industry tables to show your frame size and ideal weight range.

gobble gobble: )   seems fairly accurate to me. 5ft 1inch, 21 inch waist, 28 inch hips, large hands and long toes/fingers, wide feet that are growing in size quote fast now 16. I also swim and run, so look very slim but even slimmer at 45kg because of my bone density - don't feel too underweight though. calculator gives good assumptions. :) - 4/25/2013 1:24:15 AM

Rudolph   Im 16, Male, my right wrist is 15.8 cm, left wrist 15.2 - 3/13/2013 12:33:49 PM

mo   5'9 70 kg wrist size 7inch i have a medium frame ideal weight 67-73 kg so thats good - 2/28/2013 3:09:51 PM

roddy   i'm 6'5", 92kg and my wrist size is 7.1, size 12.5 feet. I seem to be in balance with the chart but feel I should be heavier. Very general!!!! - 2/20/2013 9:24:52 AM

Joe   I'm 6'2 and my wrist size is 9.25 inches. According to this I have a top end ideal weight of 197. This seems low, just after highschool I was 235 and in good shape... I just wonder if this is too general to account for muscle mass etc... - 2/5/2013 1:18:03 PM

Katie   im 5'5, my wrist is 4 inches, i have a small frame and my ideal weight is 117-130, i am 109! am i underweight? - 1/30/2013 6:44:40 AM

Anne   This is complete nonsense. My wrist is 5.5" and according to this, I have a "small" frame. I nor anyone else I know would consider myself "petite" by any means since I have quite a "big-boned" torso (with not a substantial amount of fat either). - 12/23/2012 8:14:57 PM

Lebo   Ok, my wrist is 16cm, my height is 173cm and I weigh 59kgs but accOrding to this I shOuld weigh frOm 62 to 68 dOes this make me "underweight"? Need tO know sOo I can stOp my diet if that's the case *cOnfused face* - 12/21/2012 5:25:01 AM

GG   5'8.5" and a wrist size of 5.3 inches! I knew I had a small frame but the lowest weight in my target is 126lbs and the most I've ever weighed is 125 ish and that's when I was eating loads of junk food and never exercising. Guess I'm just lucky haha - 12/15/2012 10:20:45 PM

Ray   Hi Everyone. Something I noticed with this is that if you have a wrist size of 7.5 and are 6 foot like myself when you type it in here its says Medium build which is wrong. Whats happening is its reading it as if its 7.05 cause you get the same results where as if you put in 7.51 you will get a proper reading... My Ideal weight according to this is 162 ya screw that i wanna be at least 195 but mainly muscle :) some day ill reach that... - 10/24/2012 7:47:05 AM

Laura   Personally I think this gives unrealistic results, I did this for myself and my partner. He is 5ft 11 and it said he should be 163 lbs at this weight he would look ill! I know this is only a guide, but it's far from even giving anything close to sensible. - 10/18/2012 10:50:06 PM

Luiza   So according to this site I have a small frame, I am 5 ft 8 in and my wrist is 6.1 inches. But my shoes are US 9 and my hands are big, and I've always thought my bones were slightly large. My hips are large also with 41 inches but my waist is 27 inches. Maybe my bone structure is out of the standards for this test. I might have large hands, wide hips, etc, but a small wrist. When you look at my hands they look very large compared to my wrists. Weird. - 10/9/2012 11:43:24 AM

vanessa   i have wrist circumference of 2 inches and a half and i weigh . 123/124 >:) - 10/5/2012 11:01:52 PM

ciara   Yay im 5'3 with a wrist circumference of 6.4 and it says I should be anywhere from 147 to 131 I weigh 140 so im right where I should be yay :) - 8/13/2012 10:01:42 AM

AbigailM   I'm 5'', with a wrist size of 15cm (c. 5.9 inches), and it says my ideal weight is 122 lbs - 137 lbs, as I have a 'large' frame. I'm currently 119 llbs and my target weight is 110 lbs. This made me feel a bit better! But it is quite confusing because while I don't look fat, I do have weight on me, and I have really small hands and feet (a size 3 UK shoe size). - 8/12/2012 7:52:25 AM

Caragh   I'm a 17y/o British girl and the calculator says I should be between 129 and 142 lbs though my goal has always been to weigh 132lbs (ish). My current weight and height is 5.9"/182lbs/wrist= 6". Wish me luck to lose 50lbs - 8/11/2012 1:37:05 AM

JP Sein   Wow i am currently 277 lbs.. mind you i used to weigh 297 about a month ago so yay me!! lol but my wrist circumference is 7.5... thats a medium build?!! i was always told that i was large framed!! my goal weight is 175 so even in a "large" build that is within specs.. but i will def shoot for 165 when i hit 175! wish me luck!!! - 8/9/2012 1:02:56 PM

Will   My wrist circumference is around 7.5-8''. and I'm 5'8". The dimensions of my wrist are 1.5 inches tall x 2.5 inches wide. I'm inly 135 at the moment but I'm 15 so I'm okay for now :P - 8/1/2012 9:43:07 AM

Javier   5'8" male. Wrist circumference: 5.5" ...calculator says I am a small frame size and my ideal weight should be 140-148 pounds. Currently, I am 30 pounds heavier than my "ideal weight." I used to weight 200 pounds 4 months ago. I'd like to weigh 145 pounds someday :) - 7/25/2012 12:16:07 PM

Asian Girl   Height: 165 cm Wrist: 15,7 Although I'm asian, according to the a calculator, it says that I have a large frame. I should weight between 62-70 kg. My weight is by 62,8 kg now. Lol. But I still want to lose weight until I'm satisfied. - 7/15/2012 10:46:08 AM
